Edit Your Book was started by Dr. Jonathan Brazee when he saw a need for competent editing at affordable prices.  He has published both fiction and non-fiction and in academic, military, business, environmental, literary, and political science publications.  His three fiction novels were self-published, so he is well aware of that process.

He has a amateur book review site and submits reviews to several online book sellers.  As a result of the many books he has received for review, he realized that many of the self-published books had a very good foundation, but really needed help in both copy and content editing.  Wildlife in wrong continents, names of characters changing from one chapter to another, weapons working in ways they simply cannot, incompatible timelines--these are just a few examples of the myriad of very common, but simple-to-correct errors in books submitted to him.

A retired Marine colonel, he worked as a professor of business in San Diego before taking an opportunity overseas.  He is not a life-long professional editor.  He has experience grading thousands and thousands of papers, and was trained by the armed forces in proofreading and copy editing, but this foray into the publishing market is his first concerted attempt to offer his services to the public at large.
